Screenshots, saves, and other junk.
Old delivery screenshots, WhatsApp auto-saves, screen recordings of bugs you long since fixed, TikToks you watched once. HEVCut groups them by category so you can clear an entire bucket in seconds.
The silent storage hogs.
QR codes, tracking numbers, boarding passes, price comparisons, map directions. Useful for a day, forever on your roll. 90% never get opened again after the first week.
WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal save every received photo and video to your library by default. A typical user has 500-2000 saved pieces of media they have already viewed.
Detected by no-audio video plus system UI patterns. A two-minute recording is 50-100 MB. Ten old recordings is a gigabyte you never look at.

Screenshots flagged by metadata and aspect ratio. Messaging media identified by filename patterns. Screen recordings by audio track and system UI. All analysis on-device.
- 02
Review by category
Junk is grouped by type. Delete every old screenshot but keep WhatsApp saves, or the other way around. Favorites are never suggested for deletion.

Delete in one tap
Total bytes reclaimed shown before you commit. Removed items go to Recently Deleted for 30 days. The whole flow takes minutes, not hours.
Common questions.
- Will it accidentally delete important photos?
- Smart Cleaner only suggests. You review and confirm. The detector errs conservative, so it may miss some junk rather than misclassify a real photo. Favorited items are never flagged.
- How does it detect screenshots?
- A combination of EXIF metadata, aspect ratio matching the device screen exactly, and filename patterns. This catches essentially every iOS screenshot.
- Can I keep screenshots I actually need?
- Yes. Tap any item to exclude it. Or filter by date to only review screenshots older than a week or a month, keeping the recent ones automatic.
- How do I stop WhatsApp auto-saving photos in the future?
- In WhatsApp: Settings, Chats, turn off "Save to Camera Roll". In Telegram: Settings, Data and Storage, disable "Save to Gallery". Smart Cleaner handles the backlog; these settings stop new accumulation.
- Does it work with iCloud Photos?
- Yes. Deletions sync out of iCloud across all your devices, so you free iCloud storage too.
