How much storage will I actually get back?: Compression alone makes most videos and photos about 70% smaller. A 1 GB video typically becomes ~300 MB. Add duplicate, burst, and clutter cleanup and most users reclaim 10 to 50 GB on their first pass.
Will my compressed media still play everywhere?: Yes. HEVCut outputs HEVC video and HEIC photos, the same modern formats your iPhone already records. They play on every recent iPhone, Mac, Android phone, and Windows machine. AVIF photo output is also supported as an opt-in for extra savings on iOS 16+ and the modern web. Older devices can use a free player like VLC.
Can I undo something I deleted or compressed?: Deletes go to Photos' Recently Deleted album for 30 days, and so do originals replaced by a compressed copy, so you have a 30-day window to change your mind. Swipe Cleaner has a one-tap undo as well.
