1. Agreement to terms
By downloading, installing, or using the HEVCut mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the Company ("we", "us", or "our").
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of service
HEVCut is a video compression application that provides video compression services using HEVC (H.265) encoding technology to reduce video file sizes on iOS devices.
All video processing occurs locally on your device. We do not upload, store, or have access to your videos or personal data.
3. License grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App for your personal, non-commercial use on devices that you own or control.
You may NOT:
- Modify, adapt, or hack the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App for any commercial purpose without our written consent
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
- Share, sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the App to third parties
4. Subscription and payment terms
Subscription options
HEVCut offers various subscription plans and purchase options, including weekly subscriptions, annual subscriptions, and lifetime purchases. Pricing and features are subject to change.
Payment processing
All payments are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system or Paddle. By subscribing, you agree to their respective terms and conditions.
Merchant of Record: For purchases made through our website or certain payment methods, our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Auto-renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your device's account settings.
5. Refund policy
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all purchases.
If you are not satisfied with HEVCut for any reason, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase date. This refund policy applies to all subscription types and lifetime purchases.
Eligibility requirements
To be eligible for a refund, the app must not have been used extensively. Specifically:
- Refunds are available for users who have compressed fewer than 25 videos
- The request must be made within 14 days of the original purchase date
- For users who have used the app extensively (25+ videos compressed), refunds will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
This policy ensures fair use while protecting against abuse. We reserve the right to deny refund requests that show signs of abuse or violation of our terms.
How to request a refund
For Apple In-App Purchases:
- Visit reportaproblem.apple.com
- Sign in with your Apple ID
- Find your HEVCut purchase
- Select "Request a refund" and follow the prompts
For Paddle purchases:
- Contact us at support@hevcut.com with your order details
- We will process your refund request within 2 to 3 business days
Please note that refund requests made after the 14-day period will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis but are not guaranteed. This refund policy complies with Paddle's minimum 14-day refund requirement.
6. Privacy and data protection
Your privacy is important to us. All video processing occurs locally on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your videos or personal data to our servers.

7. Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
9. User responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
- Not use the App in any way that violates any applicable federal, state, local, or international law
- Not attempt to interfere with the proper working of the App
- Maintain the security of your device and account
- Back up your videos before compression (we recommend keeping originals)
10. Intellectual property
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
"HEVCut" and related logos are our trademarks. You may not use these trademarks without our prior written consent.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. You may delete the App from your device at any time.
12. Changes to terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the last-updated date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts located in California, United States.
